If i got a vf43 basically the same as a 39 except exh housing would i still need to get it retuned?
Joey, the exhaust housings on the Thrust bearing range of turbo's are interchangable ie VF30,39,43 - so quick answer is you should be able to re-use the one off your stuffed VF39 and put that on too the VF43.
They are a piece off piss to change over as well, can do it yourself.

You will get a wee bit better spool up with the VF39 exh housing, there will be sweet FA in it though. One thing I would check though is the actuator spring tensions between the two housings are the same. Any good tuner should check it.
