Id say leave it as it is. Like your quote says, in the automotive "religion" the useage of manual boost controllers has evolved. Its called tuning. The creation of tuning is an engine that hasnt miss detonated and melted your Piston.

judging by your username you have a MY99 WRX, which means you have a crap AFM...so id be not worrying about a manual boost controller but saving your money and getting a tune and either changing the AFM to a Z32 or getting rid of it completely!!

but thats just my opinion

Search button can help you out , but you can run 18 19 20 21 22 psi that will give you boost cuts which is fun some how or just get a AMECU and get it tuned would be a better alternative.

Don't touch it. Take it to a workshop to get tuned.

And what will they do to the std computer.....Change the plugs????
Should be reasonably safe to 15lb & TBE has probably upped your boost a bit anyhow.

To give him some sensible advice. Not something dished out by the wannabe mechanic behind his keyboard.

No need to be a smartarse.

It is a very well known fact that a free flow exhaust will result in a slight boost increase without any other changes....
