BALISTC 13-11-2007 08:40 AM

Looking forward to seeing the results....very unique project with clear goals. Should be a corker!

EXPLICIT 13-11-2007 08:57 AM

I've now decided on a list of bits and pieces which will go into the transformation process. First and foremost this is a daily driven street car, so there will be compromises in all out hp performance, vs response, tractability and reliability........................yeah right.......but i'll try at least to keep it that way

19" VS-XX wheels
Cusco Zero2e coilovers
Cusco eCon
Cusco front and rear stabilizers
Cusco billet links
Cusco under body brace front ver2
Cusco under body brace rear ver2
Cusco Brake cylinder stopper
Zerosports intercooler splitter
Zerosports radiator shroud
STI Genome Triple gauge cluster
Zerosports cf Grill
Cyper R cf hood scoop
STI radiator cap
STI round shift knob
STI step treads
STI Lock nut set
HKS Premium suction kit
Tomei exPreme twinscroll headers/up-pipe/dump-pipe
HKS GT2835 Twin Entry turbo
Injectors
Fuel rails
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Intercooler upgrade (still be assessed)
Fuel pump
Tune
Possibly have some forged pistons thrown into the exisiting block or replace the short motor with another 257 with rods and pistons, but we'll see how the factory bottom end holds together.

Looking to run two boost levels at this stage, 1bar and 1.3bar. Not keen to push much past these levels as the 2.5 bores aren't that thick and it seems apparent the heat build up with heavy use at boost levels 20psi+ will warp them fairly quickly, even with upgraded pistons and rods.

It's no 500hp porsche turbo, but im sure it'll bring a smile to my dial once complete :D

agentorange 13-11-2007 09:02 AM

talk about doing it once and doing it right...nice work dude! Can't wait to see the results...

:D

WRXRW 13-11-2007 09:22 AM

jap mod influence on an sti is the best move, sure beats fish and chips skippy styles!

can't wait to see it how unfolds!

American Dave 13-11-2007 09:36 AM

DEDLYWEPN 13-11-2007 09:44 AM

Bruce 13-11-2007 09:54 AM

Fark, I was expecting to see a list half as long.... I should have known I guess...

This should be great!

What exhaust system are you planning on?

WRXTASY 13-11-2007 10:04 AM

EXPLICIT 13-11-2007 10:08 AM

Awww feel the love!!!

Exhaust is HKS Es Premium. Not the loudest but it's a nicely made piece of gear and still flows well.

Huy 13-11-2007 10:28 AM

Awesome choice with the wheels. What colour?

I only know one other guy with those wheels, and his car is ghey! (Hi2u)

BALISTC 13-11-2007 10:31 AM

:thefinger

EXPLICIT 13-11-2007 10:35 AM

They're the same wheels i had on the wagon, cept they were 18". Will be full polished finish, should contrast nicely on the black duco.

WRXRW 13-11-2007 10:36 AM

BrennyV 13-11-2007 10:53 AM

EXPLICIT 13-11-2007 10:56 AM

Adr3naL1N 13-11-2007 11:24 AM

BN01 13-11-2007 11:26 AM

Fark me! This thing is going to be a beast. They're nice enough from factory for my liking, this is a whole new level. Good work!

Jimmy S 13-11-2007 12:13 PM

V. Naice Jme... Can't wait to see her all modded up!

Should be a very well rounded car!

Brendan08 13-11-2007 12:21 PM

Looks good mate. Looks like you're looking into all the right parts with a good reputation for performance. Can't wait to see it at a trackday or down the quarter mile! :)

nauli 13-11-2007 01:09 PM

Tune??

EXPLICIT 13-11-2007 01:33 PM

Don't know yet steve, Tek custom is the only real option atm, without going 5k for a motec. Nutting out some stuff with wizza atm.

207 de 13-11-2007 01:38 PM

Have you got some good pics of the car stock? I know I could look it up I spose.....

American Dave 13-11-2007 01:57 PM

Fish monger, you get 5/16th's f__k all of that here with me. I remember not long ago , in a land no so far away when i said "modify" , you would cringe up like you ate a lemon, then dry reach from the last exp.

And here you are doing it again to a perfectly good car. Forgies ... hahaha , man wake up and look at the guy in the mirror in the morning, and tell him to STFU !!!

:D

Keep it stock, get some wheels, and buy a car you can use and abuse and not give a shit about.

American Dave 13-11-2007 04:42 PM

bahahahah pawned

Hey sheep herder,

Let me know when you start the GT4........, and the 929, the 32 drifter, oh yeah and the supra, apparently the nos system in that is working well.

Fucken polak, i hear your village calling!!!! :P

saf 13-11-2007 05:03 PM

A) , Im not polak. If i was, you would be a chocco with a blank spot where your wifes Audi would sit, and a identical Audi would be here at my place now being converted into a Vivid Orange scheme with a "01" on the doors spelt as 'Gzenerszal Lee'. Im Slovakian .... not same. You change flags so often between japan and germany you forget who you are today , but im Slovak !!!

B) , My cars all run :).

C ) , Yea my 929 is in bits, but hey take that up with Honda and its "6 weeks sir" no stock policy. I agree, maybe send Ned a link to this and share the hate.

D) , Ive got another few bikes to ride, im sure ill survive to the end of the year.

E) , The R32 drifter runs fine, matter of fact its so smooth you could say its factory. It runs almost like a stock RB20DE, cept slower cause i keep pouring used racebike fuel into it and its having a hard time counting all those octanes.

And i love it when you come back with anger, means your dry in content :) . And who is you calling sheep herder ?. Man you of ALL people shouldnt be making animal jokes ... mr KFC boy.

Adz 13-11-2007 05:21 PM

Chop Chop!!

EXPLICIT 13-11-2007 06:05 PM

ADZ, go back to WOW, i think i hear your missus calling, whaptish!!!!!

SAF,

just cause a vehicle makes emissions of some description doesnt necessarily count as 'running' :D

...and your still a sheep herder!!!

pmh 13-11-2007 06:09 PM

at least its not a photo with a reflection of a naked person

trainwrex 14-11-2007 11:09 AM
at least its not a photo with a reflection of a naked person
Ill flop my dick out next time, thats what u must wot as u guys keep going on about it...

back on topic..

Nice mods jme, and as i said before just stick with the tek3 as they do drive smoothly and ur only going to mod it the once thus eliminating countless tunes..

EXPLICIT 14-11-2007 11:21 AM

Indeed that looks to be the only viable option right now.

I just confirmed this little ripper as well. Both a water to air and air to air intercooler, perfect for my needs.......hopefully LOL!!!

American Dave 14-11-2007 11:25 AM

oh that's the go Jme but will it fit up properly?

trainwrex 14-11-2007 11:25 AM

maybe u should look at water injection also??

i still recon that the tmic will limit u, but should support a healthy 220 kw atw with ur setup...

dave`u can neva have too much power. haha

EXPLICIT 14-11-2007 11:28 AM

220kwatw would be plenty for me for a daily. Not keen on changing clutches and killing driveability.
