Default Air cond on the fritz?

This afternoon when I turned on the airconditioning in the Rex at the car park, it seemed to go on and off with several clicking sounds and the RPM went up and down.

When I turned the aircond off the RPM stabilized and when I turned it on again it worked normally.

When reaching home, again I heard the clicking sound when driving into the garage and the RPM fluctuated again. Turned the air cond off and it was fine again.

Which part of the aircond would you say has/is going? compressor or ?

Thanks

The clicking sound is probably the relay for the Compressor kicking in and out

check that your cooling fans are running properly, sounds sorta like the comp is going out on high head pressure...

its strange that it did that strange clicking noise, then you turned it off and on and the noise went away. did you only notice it when you were stationary?

Could be on the border of not having enough gas to let the compressor run properly.

Thanks all for your replies...

No the clicking noise occurred when I was stationary and when I was also pulling into the garage in first gear.

It's strange though cause I just did a run to Yanchep and back with the aircond on and it worked fine...
