i have a MY00 sti.. but the manifold has red paint coming off it...is it a genuine sti manifold or not...?

The paint can come off, most likely from high pressure cleaner use or certain engine degreasers.

yer mate most the std ones come off, when they have a rebuild they usually respray them in better stuff, but had 2 sti engines now in various cars and both sketch.. v2 and v5 current
