Default What type of Headers?

Guys and girls
Has anyone done their homework recently on after market headers? I was hoping someone can give me the good oil on what works and at what cost.

Would prefer to keep the boxer burble if I can and I am not chasing silly power levels. Just after a better spool and response?

I think most aftermarket headers are bigger in internal diameter for high horsepower applications. For better spool and such you'd want narrower ones wouldn't you?

Yes thats why I stated the application. Target power 246kw or 330hpatw.

I am hoping to find something that is a little better than the oem item, suggestions anyone?

you will lose the sound....

consider X-force or perrin with the twin scroll sump needed.

Whatever anyone says, headers NEED to be coated AND wrapped, individually for full benefit.

biggest improvement found in part throttle response.

Re-tune needed

gt-spec or tomei are not quite 100% equal length so they dont completely remove the rumble. Quite a good set of headers from what ive heard and read, 4>1 design.

Alright so $600 for a set of Xforces would be a goer or not? Trying to gauge prices and has anyone installed them, themselves? I got heaps of heatwrap coming, so it'll be wrapped well.

Ok I give in...what is the purpose of the flex joins in most headers. Surely they don't flex that much. They span the engine from side to side and up to the turbo. So where is the twist seeing the the turbo is bolted to the engine?
