yeah we went looking through that list a few months back, i'll answer your question about going aftermarket, have you seen the prices? AP caliper from AP $2k, AP caliper with STI logo on it: $6k

its a dead set rort because they have a strangle hold on GroupN customers

that said, i'd love to drop an amex on their desk and say "two of each please"

$10K for STI a set of motorsport driveshafts. 35% stronger or something. But sheesh! what a price. They must be laughing at all the fools forced to pay these prices for homologated parts for their rally cars.

That's why MMS do a lot of fabrication in house...but with some stuff there ain't no choice...that's why good rally cars cost a lot of money.
But you should have a look at Ralliart prices!

I think that Jonathon harbours some resentment to the prices that they like to charge. No doubt he will chip in soon. Fair enough to.

Here you are getting out there in their product doing no harm to their image and they bend you over for the pleasure. I know they are only small production runs etc but for rally people the cost of spare parts is a major consideration. If either mitsi or subaru sold them for reasonable prices I am sure that a lot of people would look at driving the car with the cheapest parts.

for comparisson, sti handbrake = 1400 prodrive handbrake = 4500!!!
