Hey guys

Geez first the boost cut, then my cars runing like shit .. now i got another problem

So i start my car up today drove to carosel, Then going up the ramp and thers that fuking speed bump, Im not flying over that. So then i take it easy like any normal person would over the speed bump and to my stupidity i stall my car fair enough.. THEN my car wouldnt start, I noticed the yellow indicator that lights up after you put the pin code in didnt come up. Car just wouldnt start.

Eventually i had to take the keys out and put it back in, then the yellow indicator came up. Then i put the keys in, punched in the code, the yellow light didnt come up and i couldnt start my car once again. But this time i had to lock my car then unlock it, and repunch the code then the light came on and i was able to start. Now back home i just tried the whole thing out again , i punched in the code and the yellow light came on for like 1 sec then switched off, and i was left not being able to start the car

what kind of problem is this? ignition sensor problem or what?

Could be something wrong with the Brant.

What Year WRX / STI do you have?

ive got 2002 WRX bug eye.... but yeah as above the yellow light /indicator thats sopposed to light up after you punch the code doesntt :S

really hoping somebody to shed some light onto this as im new to the WRX having only owned it for like 3 months. hrmm the Brant?? whats that about

The "Brant" is the immobiliser / Anti Hijack system that Subaru use in there WRX & WRX STI cars.

In Other words its the Keypad with all the numbers on, is the user interface to the "brant" system.

Do a thread search for "Brant" and there is plenty of info all about it
