Default K&N filter upgrade for GDB

Hi Guys

I was concidering upgrading my stock air flow kit to a K&N typhoon/power air intake kit (as shown on the attachment) for my GDB wrx. However I have heard that its installed so the pod sits downwards and should only be changed upwards in winter to prevent water from getting on it and into the engine. I would be paying enough for it to get it installed in the normal possition and I dont really want to pay extra to get it changed over and over again to suit wet and dry conditions.

Therfore my question is; Is it worth getting this type of kit? If there is anyone out there who has the same type of setup. Is it easy to change possitions yourself to suit weather conditions?

Your feedback is greatly appreciated
