Default BOV Noise change

hey i have just fitted a new exhaust on my 02 sti this week and since the install my BOV has changed its sound. I have the standard 02 BOV on the car but when on boost the valve makes the normal sound and then changes into a sound similar to a dose pipe sound. I took it to a mech and they said it should be fine. Has anyone else had a problem similar to this???

yeah, you just need to change your driving style a bit, how you would with a dose-pipe to get a similar sound.

hope that helps : )

nope its not to do with my driving style. If the topmount intercooler was lower that normal could that have an affect on the hose which could cause a dose like sound from the BOV?

Was under the impression that the pounds being bled by the wastegate is heard through the intake such as when fitting a pod filter. Was unaware the exhaust side of the car would have such a noise change.
