buy yourself a "deep" socket set. you dont need a new ratchet etc just the sockets. supercheap may have em, dont really shop there, but i know for sure repco have them

ok so i got myself a deep socket..removed the top strut bolts..and after much effort managed to remove the 2 nuts from the lower strut..so front is done. Unfortunatly is it not low enough..but I will deal with that later.. Now dramas with the rear..4.15pm after been doing this shit most of the day solo i feel like im dead..and this drama I now have is the rear 2 nuts/bolts on the lower of the strut are facing the back of the car..where EVERYTHING is in the way..brake caliper ect..the fronts faced the other way :S the top one I think I will manage to remove after it has soaked with crc over night..but with the lowest one..anyone got a tip on how to get this off? there is just totally no room!
