Default Disco Potato

Tried search on this but came up blank.
How would a Garrett GT 2860rs Disco Potato go on a 03 Sti has anyone used these on there cars or do you know much about them.
Selling point is the dual ball bearing shaft should spool up similar too vf 35 but with more top end what do you think out there.

the GTRS is great turbo - there are a few things that limit it from putting it on a wrx

1. its designed to bolt up mostly to nissans (therefore ur gonna have to make a custom up/down pipe etc)
2. even tho its ball bearing - dont compare it to the vf35.. its a larger turbo - spool would be similar to a td05-20g or a td06-18g
3. the only 'kit' iv seen is from HKS... and that costs $$ ,even so - ud be better goin off with something else

something 'bolt on' from HKS

ball bearing isnt balls n all... save yourself money and buy a vf34 (roller bearing), or any kind of of td05 / td06 turbo (thrust bearing) - depending on what ur needs are is what determines the rear housing size (16g/18g/20g or 25g). Forced Performance - or deadbolt or GT Pumps are all the same shit really(companies that offer bolt on td05/06 turbos)... Tenegah in wangara do GT Pumps

GT 2835 will work but requires twin scroll headers.

Ummm twin scroll...get the best of both worlds! Awesome spool and good top end...Just remember if you get the equal length headers you will loose the rex burble...

would you really bother swapping from a VF35 to a VF34 on a GD STI? surely the difference would be minimal considering the cost
