Default Anatomy of a 6spd revealed ! pics

I told it if it didn`t behave I was going to strip it and make it stand in the corner, I did, now its behaving well

..should have photgraphed the internal workings of the DCCD centre diff(had that fully stripped too )....maybe next time !

Don`t ask why ! Was very educational, but when it comes down to it I just like making life hard for myself hahahaha

Haha, I know why
The way the shift interlock all slides around on the selector rails is really weird, the whole thing is comletely different to a 5 speed, there would be nothing interchangable.

Reason(s) for disassembly & inspection ;

1.Small rattling noise I decided I couldn`t accept/live with on a virtually brand new luxo car(put up with it for ~12,000 K`s then said FT).

2.Only way I was going to confirm there was actually nothing internally a-mis.

3.Inherently noisy constant mesh 6spd design exacerbated by other factors(clutch) which all came together to result in dummy spit(on my part) to the point of what you see above!

4. ~ wanted to get rid of heavy clutch anyway(.. that wifey poo couldn`t use thus drive my car...good or bad thing, who honestly can tell !) Pissed me of in slow traffic anyway !

5. I`ve come this far.....can`t turn back now

6. It just got better anyway ..... decided reason 5. was a good enough point in time to morph into reason 7. !

7. Install C spec headers, turbo, dump and fabricate full(flex, cat, resonator(in that order)) 3" SS exhaust system to mate up to HKS cat back system(sounds shite hot too) then Verso

Everything has turned out well, very happy with the results(will be even more after the tune is complete) worth the effort so I`m happy.

Wags4 will be introduced formally soon once complete(more to come.... )

Cheers

PS: Doug your a ledgend mate, thanks for all your help.
