Uhh...if you've sucked enough water into your engine to make it stop, then there is a chance you've done some damage i.e. bent conrods.

As for a mobile mechanic, try Jim from Blue Star

There was another car in the same puddle, naturally asperated toyota with a CAI, the rac guy took out his plugs got him to turn it over a few time and water spurted out. Put the plugs back in and started it up...water pissed out his exhaust. But, he was off again.

RAC bloke said it was too big a job to remove my intercooler etc to get to mine!!!

Any help or advice on what to do would be great as i need to get it fixed and put my mind at ease.

Bloody thing was booked in at ASG for a verso on monday

the RAC guy is a fucking idiot because the spark plugs arent under the intercooler. Call ASG and get it FLAT BEDDED (not towed) to them and let them have a look before (if) they tune it

just get it towed to ASG on monday and get them to have a look at it, i'm guessing they will be able to tell you in minutes what damage (if any) you have done

Unlucky mate - I've got a CAI on mine too and avoid deepness at all costs. Smaller puddles are alright cause of the inner guard, but that looked like it was a mini-lake on the road.
