hi,

my 99 wrx is in need of a new clutch. Who can point me in the direction of a good supplier and fitter in perth?

Most 5 speed OEM gearsets are not renowned for being bulletproof especially when mixed with a heavy duty clutch and some left brutality.
I think most people will suggest a mild upgrade with a full face organic clutch with slightly higher clamping rate.
Ross at Autoclutch is a popular choice.
I take mine (mostly via tow truck) to RMS after I have totally cooked it.

The topic has been covered many times in the past - the search button is your friend.

I just had my clutch done at auto clutch in aussie park and they left the heat shield off from under the turbo so the top shield rattles now as its missing a mount. My gearbox also knocks when I go over speed bumps too, I think could be a mount. They also ground off a mount to the stock dump pipe. They will be putting these things right so Im not complaining, just letting you know. HD organic clutch is around $950 fitted.

Ross's Autoclutch is now simply autoclutch - Ross has retired

get a kit from CBA (clutch and break australia) and get it fited at autoclutch, this will be a good cheaper option but still a good one , or you can get it fitted at tenagah , they will cost a little more but they include the cost of geting the fly wheel machined and top up the gear box oil and they are really good guys up there

hope this helps

cheers guys... Haha.. my good old Vista laptop crashed on me and could not see if my other thread worked. It obviously did but to good affect.

I give a few of these places a call. Definately after a clutch with some play. Not too heavy duty as i like my gearboox. It gets me places!!
