Default Battery Flat - help required

Hey guys,

My battery is flat in my '07 Rex and when I connect a jumper lead to another car the alarm goes off... but I cannot key in my pin number to de-activate the alarm.

Any help would be appreciated as my car is stuck :|

Cheers,

Jason

Turn the siren off (under the bonnet) with the little key that you should have for it.

Great but how do I start the car if the security code doesn't work still?

Cheers!

connect the jumper cables close all doors then lock the car with the lock button than press the unlock button on the key ensure all doors are shut while doing this then you should be able to get into your car key in pin and start the car if key pad does not light up you can just start car without pin but will have to go to subaru to reset pin code.

Have you done it before? The battery went flat last week and Subaru came to the house and when they started the car they held down a black button to the left of the engine bay...what does this do? ( I think it is for when the bonnet is shut)

Cheers,

jason

That would be the bonnet sensor for the alarm. Put some tape on it while you are playing around to stop it springing up.

Is there anyway to reset the pin code without taking it to subaru? I just got my car from over east and the battery is 100% dead, so I just put in a new one and the car starts without needing a pin code, the car is unlicenced so bit of a pain having to take it to subaru and then to get it licenced also..

cheers
