Default Engine Stand

Hey all,

After failing at finding any threads about engine stands, i was wondering where a nice and reasonably priced engine stand would be found? Typical auto shops?

Reason i ask is im about to begin work on an engine and require a nice place to have it sitting considering im going to be spending a fair bit of time stripping it down, disassembling everything and reassembling. Any good experiences with cheaper brands? Does it really matter or is it an item that it does the job not matter what kind?

I got a basic engine stand from Malz for $70 I think it was. More than strong enough to hold a Subaru EJ20 engine which really isn't a very heavy engine to begin with.

I never actually got around to using it. So If you want it, you can have it for $50. Its basically brand new and already assembled and ready to go.

Ahhh no timmy, nowhere near it.Engine is running stronger then ever after a service. Just slowly going to rebuild a 207 for a rainy day hah. Too good an oppitunity to pass up! Plus teach myself about the EJ series engines a little more that you cant really get by sitting on a forum like i do :P

EDIT: But sitting here is good for my post count!

Yeah, for the situation it is in, i believe ill come out atleast $1000 cheaper then buying it from Reagents if not more. We'll see as time goes on i spose hey. You'll be over getting drunk and helping anywayz wheather you like it or not so hah! Ill see with MR2 when i can just grab his. Seems easier for me to clear room for him, whilst getting a good deal on an engine stand.
