Trying to install my strut brace now. Ran into the same problem with the air con hose. How do you sort this?

nevermind, gave it a gentle bend and it slotted into place.

Brace installed.

Is this only for the 06+ wrx/sti
My STI brace took 5mins no bending required(05 STI).

You guys still using solid braces - all the kool kids use flexible ones

Knock offs of the S204 Yamaha tuned flexy ones.

You need front and rear to make it really work. Unsure if anyone has copied it properly though. The idea being, you don't always want the car to be solid in a road tune environment. Some flex is good.

Thats a genuine STI one right there, not a knock off. I work for Subaru and I don't quite get it either

Ah my bad.

I'll assume they are for reducing NVH whilst still giving a strut bar effect at higher loads.

The S204 Yamaha ones you needed the front, rear and underbody ones. Then they worked well. Whether the average guy would know or not remains debatable.

It's part of the set that were placed on the S204 and the MY08 AUDM Tuned for Sti Libertys.

I've got that one on my car with the lower bar well. I didn't think they had rear strut bars for the Libertys?
. . . and YES - it was noticeable.
