^^^be aware that nexens n3000's DO NOT meet the minimum load index set by subaru for wrx's.......
fail. |
i use kumho cause i almost had that same problem with the nexens
|
yes!!! Kuhmo FTW in my opinion have nothing bad to say about them YET!! ;)
|
If you are running 18's they are not the standard wheel for a Subaru. Before making a general comment, there are plenty of other sized rubber available with what would be the correct load ratings.

Sorry to butt in like this... But can anyone recommend a good tyre shop that will do proper alignments/ tyre balancing ? I stay SOR..
I'm asking cos the last tyre shop i went to (A reputable Franchise all over Australia and the World) over tightened my wheel nuts... as well as over inflate my brand new bridgestone tyres up to 300kpa.. TWICE !!!! Maybe its just me.. but he probably wants me dead real quick.. |
They might be reputable around the world, but they are all franchises and are only as good as the people who run them.
Wilkinsons or Wheels World, spend an extra 10/15 mins travelling. |
Or speak to Shane as per my footer:

Can anyone tell me what tyres should be on my WRX?
I just had new tyres put on and went with what the owner of the shop recommended which are Maximus. They are horrible to drive on. Feels like the rubber is going to peel off the rim at each corner. I went back and asked why it was like that and the guy said they soft compound and to drive slower. Like duh. I wasnt speeding and that car has never been unstuck unintentionally on the road till now. Advice appreciated. Have taken notes from replys already. What compound do you guys prefer? |
