BOMB3R 02-06-2008 08:55 PM

Tempe Tyres usually have good prices delivered to your door, although the Falkens have gone up 70 a corner.

Anyone know ANYWHERE in Perth that stocks Falken RT615's at a decent price?

ImPreSiV 02-06-2008 09:16 PM

Bakks 13-07-2008 10:06 AM

Thanks mate but I've decided to buy my tyres from overseas, shops here can't even get remotely close to the prices you can on say www.tirerack.com

Kato 13-07-2008 11:41 AM

What's the shipping like with them?

You're right the prices are damn good.

Bakks 13-07-2008 12:46 PM

Still waiting to hear but it should be in the range of about $200, give or take, I'd imagine.

vivioman 16-07-2008 10:08 PM

Just had a look at their website and the prices of their wheels are also quite attractive.

Let us know how the shipping went with your tyres.

Cheers

not to put a spanner in the works, but if you buy from tirerack for e.g. are you covered from an insurance point of view ?

As i presume they wont be having ADR stamp/symbols on them ?

jEstEr? 16-07-2008 10:25 PM

I purchased my wheels from tirerack

Bakks 18-07-2008 10:36 AM

FYI freight on a set of 225/35 19 front 245/35 19 rear is $300 from Tirerack.

US & Australia both conform to DOT standards.

I was getting some quotes about a week ago.
These prices are for 215/45 R17's only though...

I have attached a file with some prices I got.

jEstEr? 05-12-2008 01:39 PM

Give Brigestone Bentley a call, Kerry Wade is normally pretty kick ass with prices and he know's what he is talking about. Plus i would never trust West State Tyres to touch my car

Looking at putting Nexen N3000's ($135 from Tech9) on the car. Never had Nexen's before. Opinons?? Anyone have any experience with them? Really want Bridgestone Adrenalin's but cheapest I can find them is $265 each. Prepared to spend about $200ish a corner.

I have them on mine, bit noisier than I'm used to, but good mileage. I'd go Nankang NS2's for handling over the Nexen's

Tech 9 we try and pass our buying power on to our customers. Bar a few brands we will usually be cheaper than most tyre shops.

Bringing in tyres from the US can work out cheaper. Sometime you may even get away with out paying duties. Bonus. But also work out the effots to be made and risk involved compared to the savings. It may be worth it ? But the savings made are not with out risk.

What you guys should ask your self before calling and getting prices to help make your decison.

What are you happy spending? Price range helps narrow down brands and treads. Its not a way of working out how wealthy you are no do we care.

What are you want in a tyre and what will you be using your car for. Noise factor, Grip, rock bottom Price, a good allrounder?

End of the day shop around for products and prices. Make sure you compare as same same. Can be hard to do as you a relying on advice that can be some what bias. But research and shop around.

Happy shopping.
