Default Tein Coilovers - Type E/F ?

Hey Guys,

Have ordered some Teins recently (price was too good to say no).

Car is an 05 STi, i have been informed from certain places that standard super streets will fit an 05 Sti no problems.

However other places have said any tein coilover to fit an 05 STi must be of an E or F type due to the PCD changing from 100 to 114.3 on the 05.

Can anyone shed light on the above as to which is correct and why ?

I cant see how pcd can have an affect on the coilover/strut itself unless im missing something or just being plain ignorant

Model number i have ordered is GSS28-B1SS4

cheers for any help people can provide.

The GSS28-B1SS4 will not fit a MY05 STi you should have ordered GSS64-B1SS4 which is the correct coilovers for the GDB model type E onwards. The hubs changed when they went to the 114.3 PCD which have different strut mounts to the 100 PCD WRX/STi's.

Default teins

You can ask Tein if they would sell you just the adjustable legs for the GDB E model, the thread should be the same,it is where strut mount to the hubs that is a different, they changed the thickeness of them that is why they are not interchangeable.
