6 speed gear box / starter motor
Hey guys
does anyone know why you need to get a new starter motor when you go from a 5 speed to a 6 speed in a wrx ??? or is the mechanic talking some BS |

6 speed
You only need it if you are upgrading to a 6 speed clutch,but if you are not then you don't have to change them.

Just re-use your old 5 spd clutch if its in good nik.

The starter hole in the gearbox is slightly smaller and the 5 speed starter will need a little modification to fit through. Other than this it will work OK with a 5 speed flywheel, clutch and hydraulic cylinder.
