Default Ideas? Engine Cut out

couldnt find any threads from anyone with a similar problem. but any ideas what this could be, will prolly take it in to a workshop when i have time.

yesterday driving along i turned a corner onto a long straight, out of the corner i gave it a little bit, not pedal to the floor, but gave it a decent amount of boost, think it hit maybe 5500/5750 rpm when suddenly the engine just cut out, i had to pull over on the side, tried to restart the car several times, it starts to tick over then just as it does it just dies, tried several times over the next few minutes and same thing, gave it a few minutes as i was on the phone to the RAC, when i tried it again and it started fine. i inspected the car, no irregualr engine noises or any other noises and was idling fine, drove it home no problems, started it this morning was fine as well. drives fine and all.

any ideas as to why it cut out? and why for several minutes the car would tick over then die and why it would start up agen fine later on?

bit of info:
running a apexi power fc
650cc injectors
walbro fuel pump

this does sound like crank angle sensor, happened to me car would random cut out and not start for like 10 minutes but once cooled down would start again.

did it just cut out for a second or, it cut out and die? Because i exprienced boost cut before. Its like a half second cut, but it will pick up after that split second.

cut out n died thus why i had to pull over, wouldnt restart, left it a few minutes after giivng up tried again and started fine, has been running fine since, but when it died the first time was when i gave it abit of boost up to about 5500rpm.

I'd put my money on the crank angle sensor too, when they start to go they work fine when the engine is coldish & then cut out when the engine gets hotter, you then won't be able to start it until the engine cools down a bit
