btw...does your catch can have two chambers and foam filter inside? If not I would recommend one...have a look at the Hyperflow design...it works very well.
will check it out..

cheers

am getting 1 litre can instead of 500ml installed next week - so will see how that goes.

also got told to keep the 257 motor underfilled with oil at about 3/4 day to day anyway.

will see if all this stuff helps.

Geez bruce, i use less oil in my engine than u do with the stocker

Matthew..."underfill" for competition meaning run it about 1/2 way between the low and high marks on ze dipschtick rather than running the level right up to or over the high mark. And of course monitor the level carefully.

Point of clarification - whilst we emptied it twice, I don't think it was ever full and part of the reason why we emptied it was probably due to the car being overfilled with oil at the beginning, as the oil level didn't drop by the equivalent amount. The catch can actually did its job, except not a very good job of containing it in the can.

I guess I've been lucky with mine. Have never added a drop between services ( 7000km is the most I have done between services though. Usually just over 5000km )

Dip stick always on full mark when it goes in to. Changed to fully synthetic at 3800km to. About to go back to mineral now though.

Done everything wrong so far so guess no point doing the right thing!!!
