Head Gasket
Hi All
Have blown a Head gasket on my V3 STI RA. Any suggestions on what Gaskets to get ? Will be upgrading to ARP head studs etc, but was unsure if I should go aftermarket metal gaskets or genuine STI ? Also any pointers on other items to look at while the engine is out. Car has done 65,000km Regards Troy M |

While engine out i think its best to do all internal work, Heads to be shaved ported and polished full service get some after market cams as a package.
* STI head gaskets and ARP head studs thats what im using.

Subaru headgaskets are the best, genuine headgaskets for your model should be a ss laminate, best ensure block is still true and definately skim heads(bare minimum).
If engine has comsumed coolant don`t let it sit, drop coolant, remove plugs, squirt some WD40 down the holes and spin engine over, repeat. You don`t want coolant sitting in the bores. |
