I had search the forum, cant find anything close. What I have - PIRELLI DRAGON 225/45/17 Rated at 91W. Factory pressure when fitted is 38psi front and back. The sticker beside the door is 33psi Front and 28 Psi Back Light Load. Who should I trust? By the way what is the 91W rating? Higher the better? Thanks in advance

91 = load rating W= Speed rating W is roughly rated at 270/kmph

38 is quite hard for daily driving. If going for a run out on the track, 38-40 would stiffen them up a lot.

Daily... whatever your preference is, usually around the 32 mark is a good balance between comfort and stiffness.

Does front and back PSI need to be the same? Do we need extra at the front for the extra engine weight?

if anything, less at the front is slightly better i find.
i run 35 front 40 rear.

From my playing around if I run less at the rear, it gets the back end to be a bit looser.

Normally I have them equal all around for daily though. The tyre placard in the car is just the minimum for a decent ride. Play around until you find the setting that suits you and your driving style.

Hmm, I haven't encounter the rear the higher than the front. I was told the front the heavier thus higher psi. But when the rear is higher and front is lower...I think I can imagine you have a high "arse"

If your running low profile tyres then they should be around the 38 psi mark if not then 32 all round.

When we smash new tyres on, 32 minimum. On something low profile, i always tend to bump up 34-35ish.

4wds need 36 when normal driving.

Don't play with track pressures anymore, but when i used to run the s13 down at collie it'd be 35 front 42 rear. But for everyday be 32.

On my 215/45/17s standard wrx rims i run 34 just push the middles out a bit more for a more evenish wear.
