LHD though, sits where RHD brake master cylinder is. Prova unit looks decent, rig up the pcv valve/crank case line into the cam breathers and i think it would be near on perfect without cluttering up the engine bay. So long as a return line to inlet is in place to keep a vacuum.

The Prova looks very neat indeed. I have a Hyperflow which is tucked away naer the battery but has more hoses over the engine than the Prova so not as neat. Saying that it works a treat...

On a dedicated weekend warrior toy, a full seperator system is just common sense. I thank for a daily, the prova system makes sense. Horses for courses.
Do remote control cars need catch cans???

Sump return is great, but a little more messing round. One of my first cars (Cordia) came with catch can with sump return stock!!
As far as using generic catch cans... they are worthless unless they actually seperate oil from air. I have been working on my own prototype for a couple of years now, just waiting for Rob to give the nod on manufacturing/ selling it!

It's funny doing Jack's my can was completely empty were as doing Barb's or AHG I would get about 75-100mm in 2-3 hours, so the cornering definitely throws oil up, I could see a touch of oil residue on the left (pass) side rocker breather after doing AHG so assume it's sloshing up or not draining down quickly enough. Agree on the return to sump being a bit of work, I think Saab also do this ? |
