Default ?? help - 02 STI mech problem

Started car this morning (02 STI)- feels and sounds like its running on 3.5 cyls. Flat, underpowered, lazy and slow to rev at idle, only slightly jerky when coasting. If you if give it a rev through the gears it has a slight miss.
A fouled plug?? (plugs are 30,000km old)
ideas?

Cheers, Steve.

could be: dirty/dying AFM, Spark plugs or improperly seated coils (bolts holding the coils down)

Checked above, AFM connections seem clean, coils are tight and seated.
Car drives normal - just slightly sluggish. Even on idle sounds slightly different, and when you hit the accelerator from idle, revs come up slightly slower then normal.
The car is booked in at ASG next Thur for a general check (just brought it), but this issue has just happened overnight, and is frustrating!! - hoping iys just plugs.....

Have you cleaned the AFM itself (the guts) with electrical contact cleaner?

If you have an aftermarket oiled pod, then replacing AFM's is common practice!

Apon a Wide open throttle you will notice a miss fire which would most likely be plugs. Had this problem few months back.
