Installing Z32 afm into MY99/00
Hi all,
recently just gotten a brand new z32 afm and a power fc to be hooked up on my My00. ok here is the problem: 1. z32 afm housing is 80mm as opposed to the 90mm we have on our stock afm housing, so how m i going to fit it onto the intake pipe? Suggestions 1. i've seen on rexnet etc that they just take out the plug from the standard afm housing and rewire it the z32 plug. however i m not electrically sound and might not want to do this as yet. (only last resort) 2.there were a couple of guys out there who resorted to a silicone reducer so as to be able to accomodate the 80mm housing from the z32 afm housing and the 100mm from the stock intake pipe. however, i'm afraid this reducer will never sit in properly no matter how hard u clamp it in between the intake and the z32 afm housing. 3. Tomei does sell the adaptor kit which connects the z32 80mm afm housing to the intake pipe.. however this is only done for sr20dets and rb25dets, nothing so far a gc8 wrx.. Gosh... pretty maxed out on choices but none seem to be the best ideal fitment for me.. Need the techies out there to advise me.... Cheers |
