Im pretty sure GC8's are the ones that are a little more robust when it comes to minor modifications but as i have been told before, running rich can cause a glazing of the bores aswel IIRC.
Correct....overly rich can wash the bores of lubricating oil....at worst it can score the bores and damage the rings......But I don't think "too rich" is the issue here. Are you running an aftermarket BOV Jes? Personally whether its a 06/07 Rex or Foz, I wouldn't be running around for too long with a pod & TBE without a tune otherwise it can get very expensive :( |
car blowing smoke? maybe plugs
Its not the pod thats going to harm your engine, its your exhaust. Unless your exhaust is cat-back?
yeah its a catback |
From what i've heard a pod filter adaptor can and will change the tune alot more than an exhaust because of the slight changes in the id of the afm pipe....
Oh ok didnt know that, thats strange though, i was running catback + aps cai for a few months without any backfiring. I feel cheated. |
Just because it doesnt sound like its gonna blow up, doesnt mean damage isnt being done. then again
