I'm a big fan of keeping things stock.

Stock airbox, TBE, Injectors, Fuel pump, VF34

The best fun I've had in a Subie was TBE, chopped injectors, fuel pump and TD04.

A big bulk of it is suspension work.

Engine is the stock 205 block and stock wrx heads & cams and stock airbox.

Travel to Japan and get funny looks from the hotel when you are sending boxes of diffs, braces and other parts back...

Every day

(And in my case, a shit load of Gundam toys )

NO. For Reliability stick with Dry paper Filters only.
IE Stock Subaru Paper Filter or Dry APEXI Pod filter.

VF3+ Turbo comment was for JTR and his 08 WRX.

Did your Tuner tell you your Airbox was a restriction ?
It's very unlikely with a small VF35 Turbo on a 05 STi at the power levels you will be putting out.

Change Your Turbo Inlet Pipe to a Silicon Item - there is your restriction.
