Default Installing Diff Studs

Going to be putting in a Perrin Rear Subframe Lockdown kit in the pig when it turns up in the post.

Looks pretty straight forward but just one question.

When I put the 2 diff studs back in do I have to "Nut jam" them ( like I will to get them out ) and put them in tight or do I just replace the studs finger tight and tightening the nut pulls them out a bit and locks them in???

you could jam nut them in but not overly tight just firm.
or you could do what i did, (which is what I have seen racetorque do on rally cars)
and replaced them with to high tensile cap screws (allen key headed bolts).
It makes it much easier to remove the diff if needed.

Yep I like that Idea. I doubt bunnings would stock them. Anywhere that would have them or send a groveling e-mail to Lane for a couple???

I bought mine from venables in buckingham drive. (wangara)
they are a bit pricey, but they have a really good range of nuts/bolts/washers etc.
you can look through them yourself and find what you want.
whereas if you go to cov's you will tell a parts interpreter want you want, they will go out the back, and probably come out with something totally different to what you asked for.

I just checked the bolt size required.
12x1.5, 30mm long
I used a spring and a thick flat washer on each.
