Unhappy Hey my 99 rex shakes in lower revs, please help!!!

Hey

I currently own a 99 wrx, when i'm cruisin normally it shakes and looses power in low revs, and it takes time for it to go normal. then finally if i put my foot down it completely throws itself forward like crazy.

Even if i'm crusin the freeway at 100km/h in 5th it'll start shaking (it like a loss of power) say i put my foot down when this happens, nothing happens it very slowly begins to shake less untill it reaches about 3000-3500 revs, which is when it takes off.

Sometimes in first when i take off quick at the lights and stuff and put my foot down it almost cuts out for a while, like literally it just rolls as if in idle, then after about 4-5 secs it will completely throw itself.

can someone please help me, I had the car serviced and it didn't fix the problem. Also what petrol you reccommend.

Thankyou, please help me

Take it to your local suby dealer and have them do a diagnostics check. Will tell you if any of the sensors are faulty. 'sounds' like the AFM but anything is possible.

Air Flow Meter, located next to the airbox. Large round tube section with a sensor attached thats part of the intake.
