Default Exedy Hyper Single

How does this compare to say a HD organic or a cushioned button, is it going to be a better option for me?

Have 286HP at the hubs at the moment and looking to go a TD06 soon, so want a clutch that is going to last me this time.

Cheers

i have just put an exedy hyper single in my 03 STI... they said it was good for engine output of up to around 400hp. the first 500-1000kms it feels like a button clutch, but it comes good once bedded in.

yeah supplied/fitted for 2100... this is the kit that comes with the chrome moly lightened flywheel also, hence the high cost. the kit itself is around $1500-1800 "FH02SD" was the part number.

thats the puppy...
if you go with it, keep your old flywheel.. always a good backup if selling the car in the future i reckon... some people don't like h/duty clutches/lightened flywheels.
also, the instructions include removing a valve in your clutch master (or slave?)... make sure you keep the bits in case you want to go back to the old setup.

I was looking at the Hyper Single for my car and was told by Exedy if its a daily driver to stick with the Sports Organic.

I've read the Hyper Single can wear out quickly in daily driving. Something to consider if your car is a daily driver.

Mmm I think I made a mistake with this one heh, what I read makes it sound real harsh :\ should have gone the cushioned button. Ohh well too late now I guess.

Yeah just saw this and it is my daily :\ I just wanted something strong, as I have killed 2 HD organics with my harsh driving.
