HI All

My car is no longer making boost past 0.5bar, obviously bypassing the boost control solenoid.

Car in questions is a MY99 with a turbo back exhaust, BOV, and Apexi Pod Filter - pretty standard

I checked for codes and get CEL 23 - is this Mass Air Flow Sensor ???

It has happened before - not making boost. All i did was turn off the car and start again and all was sweet. Now it is much worse.

I don't want to fork out a $$$ for a new sensor just in case its not that. Just need confirmation on CEL Code 23.

How do you check for codes?

To extract the codes you need to connect the two black connectors under the dash near the steering column.

Once connected switch ignition on and read the fault code as flashes of the check engine light.

I beleive this works for 93 - 03 WRX nut 100%.

Does not work for MY01 WRX onwards.

MY01 -> MY06 Requires a ODB2 Cable to read off the CEL codes.

However Bakka has already sold the slugeye..
