I killed 2 organics (my driving style) and at the time thought it was a good idea.

Nothing wrong with the brass button, once you figure out the friction point & how quickly it picks up you will get the hang of it, maybe try revving a bit higher 2500-3000rpm when taking off.

aren't you meant to 'slip' it as little as possible? I did a 'lap' in an MX5 the other day at a motorkhana event and it was fitted with a button. I was told not to slip it... just get it into gear and leave it in haha!

Yeah getting used to it after day 2. Rev bit and let it out. Finding the point it grabs then out fully. Only stalled once today haha!

i take it a brass button clutch is suited to racing, and not for the drags?

Elrico 01-04-2009 06:04 PM

Id of thought it would suit both applications Jim. They are a pretty tough clutch.

9 puck brass button is where its at......lol

Button in Brissy peak hour - your brave.

wannabox 01-04-2009 06:55 PM

Hah yeah I have changed my work hours to suit :). Miss most of it. Just got to hope I don't get stuck on one of the many steep hills on the way.
