gc8 WRX central locking for alarm
Hey guys,
I took out a laserline alarm/immobiliser system from my 99/00 WRX a while back, and made my car start just by turning the key (without immobiliser or anything hooked up). However, the previous installer had taken out the central locking control unit, and when I locked the drivers door, the other doors didnt lock. I sourced a unit from a wreckers and put it in, but still the central locking did not work. I cannot for the life of me find an accurate wiring diagram for the locking system of my model. Every one I have found seems to be of some Canadian/LHD version and all the wires on the diagram are completely different to what I look at. Anyways, long story short, there are 4 wires that run from the control unit - black white Light green Red When I put any of the wires in contact with the white wire, all doors lock, and when I take it out of contact, they unlock. I am guessing there is some switch etc in the system around the drivers door lock that isnt working/not connected Anyone done any playing around/installing of the central locking wires or connecting central locking to an alarm unit? |
