Default Exhaust ?

Hey guys,

Soz, yes another exhaust thread.

Lookn at different exhausts I'm still undecided. they appear to be all the same deal, just different mufflers.

ASG quoted a XS Power TBE for $1100 fitted, however I cant find any good info on the quality etc of these on any websites, etc. They appear to be imported from the UK. Theres a few youtube flicks with one installed, and the rumble is moderate.

Any drivers seen or used these ? I assume they must be of fairly good quality for ASG to stock; or possibly just cheap?

Cheers

thats all it is.
you can chose the following options for your exhaust:
  • mild steel / stainless steel
  • muffler type (cannon or oval)
  • dump pipe type (open mouth or split dump)
  • resonator or no resonator

I have a ASG supplied exhaust on my 07 STI.

Its not to loud or to quiet.

Cant fault the 3" TBE that ASG use.

I had a VERSO tune done at the same time as the exhaust was fitted.

VERSO is another $990.

Stainless, Oval, resonated , open bellmouth/dump pipe.

My understanding is a spilt may be better for the TD04 Turbo; but if I want to upgrade the turbo and others later on, the open bellmouth is preferred; and will save me a few pennies later ?

Did you go with the Canon or Oval Luigi ?
Curious on how loud the canon may be.

i have an ASG exhaust with a canon. i have been happy with it since day one. Im pretty certain there wil be a few cars on the site who also have them.

The question as always is how much are you looking at spending.

On an exhaust? No more than I need to. I'd rather spend minimal what a I can now with a tune for a reasonable sml increase in power; get the boxer notes playin out the rear.

Save some more and upgrade IC, Turbo, Brakes, Handling, Intake, and sell the fitted exhaust I get now, and upgrade to a better exhaust later.

What benefits at what cost?
Is it MMS that provide the butler pipes?
Any links to pricing, etc ?
