Default Installing a Short-Shift Kit

I recently bought this short shift kit from Kartboy/Turn-in Concepts.

I was going to get a workshop to do it, but i may give it a shot myself with my brother, and hopefully learn a thing or two.

Is this a difficult install? My brother is a mechanic, and said it's a piece of cake, but then again he's never really worked on a Subaru; only Fords for 6 years. I have these instructions:

http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3791

Doesn't look too bad, but i'm not mechanically blessed either.

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Yeah it's really easy. As Fred said, just use the right tools and you'll be fine. I however did get a workshop to install the bushes that it comes with.

The bushes are sort-of difficult. You'll need jack stands and small hands.

Jackstands & small hands i have. I'll give it a whirl.

Al, it cost me $390 shipped to Perth. You can buy the TiC bushings seperately if you already have a different short-shifter in place.

Edit: I forgot you had an 06 STi, which i don't think they've devoloped a kit for yet (i remember reading it somewhere).
