Exhuast Dump Pipe
Hi Guys,
I currently have a 3" system on my MY98 wrx and I was thinking of changing the dump pipe which has an open mouth to one that has the split venturi system. Now my question is what do you gain from changing this? Is it any extra power, different sound etc? Any response would be greatly appreciated. Cheers |

Seperating the wastegate gases from the main exhaust gas flow is one of the best mods to do, as you are keen on it you don't need convincing. Essentially it will allow for slightly better exhaust effeciency by way of decreasing turbulance (backpressure) when the wastegate cracks open. This would also mean you get slightly earlier spool and added max horsepower.
The one and only man to solve all your dump pipe queries/problems is Mr Norm Butler. Truly exquisite work. Butler Built Performance Products 08 9472 7373 16 Cohn St Carlisle

I've had both, no measurable gains, to each their own.
