Hi, i was just wondering if anyone knows if an 01 STi TMIC would fit my MY00?

the gc8 sti cooler offers little performance increase over stock as far as i know. the gd sti tmic's are much larger etc, with better cooling.

No, modified to fix the larger tmic to. You'll need someone handy with a welder.

Alternatively, aftermarket tmic's such as process west, avo etc usually come with brackets etc so they are completely bolt-on

Yes the GD STi TMIC will fit, but as far as i know, to get it to fit, you will need to:

- Make custom brackets for the mounting points on either side of the cooler
- Chop down shorter the clutch reservoir (for clearance of the cooler)
- Make up a custom adapter to fit the stock GC BOV onto the GD cooler (as the flange is different), or just run an atmospheric BOV to save the headaches.
You could fit a stock GD BOV on (obviously), but the way the plumback sits might be a bit tight against the manifold, and you will also need to make up a custom BOV return tube.
