without an ecu, your car is probably running hell rich, hence your crappy fuel economy.

Its stock, just exhaust and bov, standard ecu, air box, afm etc. Today seemed better, although was painting a few engine bay components yesterday and had the battery disconnected for an hour or so (went to tighten my neg terminal and snapped it!! hence the disconnection to replace it)

I'll check the fuel in oil thing and maybe I have to go back to looking at a unichip, cheap alternative for a non competitive rex.

With your 3" exhaust, if you have replaced th dump pipe with a similar 3" item, it will run pig rich.
By looking at your avatar, it looks like you have an MY99-00.
Have you removed the intake resonator?
IMHO, get a piggy back ECU. This will fix most of your economy issues.

with new mods im getting 270km.... running mega rich..

wheres best to go for a unichip?? And what sorta price should i be paying?? And can I install myself??
