Default Booost Problems

My car has all of a sudden started over boosting really bad like 1.9 my defi gauge is saying and it is making a loud hissing noise when i drive it on boost. My car is still running fine to drive and everything just it seems it doesnt limit my boost anymore. Lane from racetorque tuned it to do 1.4 and now its just really erratic. it is a 02 sti by the way and the ecu is a tek 3.

would it be a crack or split in the y pipe of the intercooler i am not real car brainy so i not to sure. Just sounds like there is a lot of air when my car hits boost. just boosts sorta outta control. so i not sure if it is a hose or something else like the wastegate actuator :S

sounds like the ecu tek 3 could be the problem..is the boost link up to the tek 3?

hose has probably got a split or a blockage in it that feeds the wastegate.

that and the ecutek should be pulling a fuel cut if its exceeding the '1.4 bar' tune.

so a) check tubing b) get your tune fixed.
