Default Possibly the most painful job on any car

I have a new found respect for panel beaters..

http://www.innaloo.net/~denver/panelwork/

basically the fruit of 2 full days hard yakka, should be all finished tomorrow

remove the rear off the car myself and had a hand with the rear cut today from a panel beater, as i didn't wanna bend anything, need to align, cut at the right spot on the pillars, tack then weld it into place, then clean the welds up, bastard of a job but hey its progress on the car..

Looking at your posted photos (workshop) your panel beater must be a butcher..! Without a chassis and body frame alignment and jigging system it will be a shit of a job covered with plenty bog with a nice coat of paint. Wonder why your insurance company let him have the repairs without the proper tools.

that workshop as you put it, is the garage at my parents house...

the chasis is straight, and does not need to be jigged..

there will be very little bog in it..

and if you bother to look closely you'll see what is a pretty solid looking bar, which is part of the roll cage bar work going into the car atm, meaning its a purpose built drift/race car, not a daily driven street car, so id peg in an accident ill walk away long before you do..
