Default Gearbox oil

I am going to fit my new gearbox tomorrow, What oil should I use? Should I go redline?

Also if I am changing the oil should i flush it out to remove old oil? or will it not make any difference?

search redline, as their are mixed opinions in its use, but if you do use it, definately flush it out as it does not mix well with other oils.

I've used penrite and motul reccommended oils and they did fine

Ok glad I asked as most post I have read in the past point to redline, whats the best thing to flush it with?

Think I may go with the Motul FF like the sound of a sexual feeling gearbox.
Someone said about Fuchs Gear oil? I have never used it? I it any good?

I have used Fuchs, nothing wrong with it and its much cheaper... But Motul FF feels better.
I got the thicker type tho.

There is nothing wrong with Redline, it just doesnt mix well with other oils so generally once you go redline stay redline..im sure if you flushed a few times with new oil and let it drain overnight etc you could get most of it out but as wrxdass said the smurf snot likes to stay!
