Subaru Australia will give you the by-bass trick over the phone without even verification that its your car.

Well then it makes it easy.... just ring the dealership instead of posting it up on these boards where anyone could read it.

Try this...note you need two people...and before anyone comments about security this will not show people how to bypass the Brant because you still need to put in your code...it is merely a keypad reset.

Resetting The Keypad

This procedure is to be used when the user PIN code will not be accepted by the unit. This procedure requires two people to perform the reset.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal for 5 to 6 minutes
Hold down 0 and # at the same time on the keypad and while holding the buttons down the second person should then reconnect the battery negative lead and tighten the terminal bolt.
Release the 0 and # on the keypad.
Enter 0 four times on the keypad (ie, 0000).
The keypad should now be reset and should accept the user PIN code.

Test by turning the ignition on in the normal manner and when all digits are illuminated enter your PIN code. The keypad should disarm and you should be able to start the engine.

Yup, my car was at a workshop and I refused to tow to subaru for recode so I rang them and told them that they were going to have to send out a "technician" to fix my problem (as car was under warranty) then the guy just told me by-pass trick to get me to the dealer.

The "0000 thing" will restore it to normal working order not just 15 starts...

If you genuinely have an issue, call the fucking dealer as suggested.
As far as im concerned you could be anyone to, any DIY topic could aid a theif with valuable information on how to remove goods/accerories from a car so i dont see the difference here.

the whole reason i posted here in the first place was to see if i could get the car running to get it home / to the dealer. beacuse the dealer was shut.
and with the help of a few members on here i was able to do that. but that was no thanks to your unhelpful spamming of the topic, and if im correct the 1st rule of the forums is no spamming?

now i see how you have such a high post count.

Once again thanks to those of you who posted up useful information, i was able to get the car home and will be taking it to subaru first thing monday morning.

I'm not going to partake in any further discussion regarding this, but just to finish off, you specifically asked for a master code... a lot of people may be willing to help you, but there are others that are quite sensitive to giving out such information (including myself).

P.S. If you think all my posts are spam, you best be doing some searching and reading before you post again... I've helped more people with more things than you'll ever do to your car, so I don't take it kindly when you proclaim that my posts are nothing more than spam.

If you dont like someone proclaiming your posts are spam, then perhaps you shouldnt spam.

i did post here asking if anyone knew the master code, untill i was told that subaru has the master code and then i was offered other options like the bypass mode which has worked. there was no need for you to post in this topic because you had nothing constructive to add its as simple as that.

assumptions will be your demise one day.
