Default Exhaust Opinion For MY00

Just after some opinions. Im after a cheaper, decent sounding exhaust with reasonable gains and most importantly not too loud. Will this exhaust fit into this catergory?? Any opinions appreciated. For a MY00 (Classic Shape)
Including front pipe, Cat back system
3" pipe size, free flow design
Fully mandrel bent
Xforce Stainless Steel Canon Style muffler with removable siliencer
25 kw power gain
<90 db noise level
Bolt-on system
Stainless steel High-Flow Performance Cat converter is now included!
This system is priced at around $700.

Cheers

I guarantee that WONT be a high flow cat at that price, many people here may disagree with me, but a GENUINE high flow cat is around $750 on its own, and very few people fit them as they are so costly. For example, RMS will supply and fit a supposed "high flow cat" for $250-$300 yet it is basically an aftermarket equivalent of a standard cat.

I have seen the difference up close, hence the $750 price tag. As for the rest of the system, if you want real performance gain, go a full turbo back. Up to you though.

Cheers
Josh

Default My00 Exhaust

Do you have a recommendation around Perth for a full turbo back system that is on the quieter side?
I want the wrx boxer sound but not as loud as alot going around. Is there such a system?
Any help in recommending an exhaust shop round Perth appreciated
I understand mild steel is cheaper because it wont last as long, is there any other real difference between mild steel and stainless?? eg. do they sound any different etc?
Any recomendations appreciated

Cheers

the noise factor comes from the choice of muffler

cannon muffler - usually results in louder/deeper note
oval mufflers - quieter on low revs but will have a boxer note on throttle

the lack of a cat will also result in drone in the cabin

No difference between stainless and mild steel, infact most stainless systems come with a thin layer of mild steel coating the inside of the piping.

If you're not out to gain heaps of performance, a cat back system will probably be sufficient for your needs. I'm in Mandurah so can't really give opinions on exhaust shops in perth. I'm sure some of the guys can help, although I have heard RMS (Revlimit Motor Sport) arent too bad, I was gonna have mine re-done there, but decided not too change it in the end... plus Leigh can tend to be a bit xpenziv on occasion imho.
