Nope, stock blow off valve. I was told there was a turbosmart one on there, but it was taken off.

Is it plumbed back in as per original? Because a stock blow off open to atmo or a shit one will open at idle or light throttle and cause the exact symptoms you describe.

Edit; Just re-read that you're running a link ECU. In that case it probably doesn't matter how much air you vent.

temp gauge in cluster has a different sensor in the cooling system to the one that runs back to the computer...
Cluster is a single active, negatively earthed sensor and the computer one has it's own active and neutral direct to the computer
both behind the alternator, about 10cm apart. Was fun learning that...

I'm going to call RMS and get my car booked in... Probably won't be able to get it in for another few weeks though. I'm coming on the casual cruise tomorrow, if it's easy to swap them over, I would really appreciate if someone could lend me their AFM for 5 minutes so I can at least cross it off the list if it's not any better!

I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff (I'm learning :P), but how do I know if my car is running a MAP or is running an AFM?

Well I cleaned the AFM with some contact cleaner on Saturday night. I haven't noticed much difference, although the hesitation on boost is gone. The rev drop is still there... strong smell of petrol... Surprisingly my fuel economy is better. Figure that one out :P
