Default Legacy engines?????

Hey

My car has been booked in with JWS for an engine replacement.
They have said a legacy twin turbo engine is fine, they just put my gear on, manifold, starter etc.....
Im replacing my turbo with there 97 sti one.. vf24?? i think.
Anyone have this engine in their WRX?

TT motors need the driver side oil & water lines changed to single turbo. The passenger side oil feed line that runs accross from the front of the block to the rear blocked needs to be blocked off or removed & pluged. There is also a oil drain at the rear of the block that needs to be removed or pluged. Once this is done most would not know it was a TT motor fitted to a car.

Gt motors with ribbed rocker covers I dont belive are any thing special

GTB 96/97 yellow injector motor has cams in it along the lines of a V3/V4 sti motor, however be mindfull they have inbuilt pistion slap due to the type of pistion used.

My GTB motor has 107000ks on it , ticks a bit but goes very well with a VF34. Sebs
( thrashit) GTB motor ticks the same , and goes very well with a VF22 fitted.

Over all I am happy with my GTB motor

Ben at KYP had stock of V3 / V4 sti motors, there was shelfs full of STI motors fitted with turbos I think they were $1700.00 a unit

There are quite a few around, more so on liberty's, they seem to be ok and have good heads, Seagull's absolutely hammers with just a V3 STI computer & some breathing mods.

Edit, too late haha.
