Unichip Tuner
Hi All
I recently purchased a S/H Unichip Type A to Suit MY99 WRX. I was wondering what experiences people have had with Tuners around Perth. I was thinking of going to MMS or West Racing (Tim Slako)?? I also need to get a boost controller - should i purchase the add on unit for the unichip or maybe an Apexi AVCR? Can the mentioned tuners possible tune the Apexi EBC with the Unichip?? Thanks Anthony |

ive got the unichip with boost module which uses the stock soleniode.
personally the unichip boost moduel dosent hold boost very well...i dont know if its the module itsleft or the solenode, but it flucuates quite a bit. i got my car tuned at psi, and they seemed to do a good job on my car...i've never been to anyone else so cant say that one place is better than the other. on a personal note i've been waiting for 4 week for my cold air intake system so im a bit pissed with them. but they did do a good job with the tune. |

Should be $2-300 for the initial fit & tune...no more.
PSI do a great job for me as well! I've never had a problem with the unichip boost controller myself although I have heard a few others do/have in the past. cheers |

Tim at West Racing. $500 fitted and tuned to my request.
Have heard some stories about PSI so I've not used them.

Out of curiousity, does speedworks tune unichip?
I'll update the tuner thread |

From personal experience-
WestRacing do good careful work, dedicated and expert team. From rumor- MMS as above, they do good work but can be too busy for casual customers |

Unichip only has two registered dealers. You can only tune via these workshops as they have the software available to tune unichip.
West Racing or PSI are your only two options at this time. Send off an email to unichip direct and see if they have any other options for you.
